DC Water - DCCR will Abandon thirteen (13) wells out of the 35 wells constructed under permit SB140002. Twelve (12) of the 13 wells available were Approved under Construction Permit SB1400002, which are (E-77,E-78, E-80, INC-25, INC-26, INC-27, INC-33, INC-34, INC-35, INC-38, INC-42 and INC-46); also P2-17A, which was installed without the District's permit. The other 22 wells were not properly maintained hence were destroyed during the DCCR-ART construction operations. ABANDONMENT PROCEDURES FOR THE 13 WELLS YET AVAILABLE: EXTENSOMETERS (E) AND PIEZOMETERS (VWPZ): Over drill Extensometers E-77, E-78, E-80 to 10' bgs; and VWPZ P2-17A to 40' bgs, Tremie grout each of the over drilled boreholes to 2' bgs, then Backfill with same and like material to 0 feet. INCLINOMETERS (INC): Tremie grout the inclinometer casing pipes of INC-25, INC-26, INC-27, INC-33 and INC-38 from 70', 73', 53', 40',125' bgs, respectively, to 0'. INC-34, INC35, INC-42, and INC-46 are blocked at 20', 0', 20' and 0' bgs, respectively; then cannot be grouted so they will be directly overdrilled. Overdrilling inclinometers: INC-27 to 5' bgs, Inclinometers INC-25, INC-26, INC-33 and INC-34 overdrilled to 30' bgs each. Inclinometers INC-35, INC-38, INC-42, INC-46 will be each overdrilled to 40' bgs each. Tremie grout each of the over drilled boreholes to 2' bgs. Backfill with same and like material to 0 feet, as needed. For the 13 wells, site restoration of will follow no later than 24 hrs.
