Source description
Commission of Fine Arts jurisdiction area (Note: New Permit No. SB2500014 is the replacement to No. SB20003552 which has been cancelled in ACAPROD system for it would have taken long time to get the language and address corrected under it.) DC Water- DCCR will abandon Three (3) out of Four (4) wells, which were approved under well construction Permit SB1800190: P-01, OW-01/P-02, and E3-001/P-01A. The fourth well (Extensometer E3-002) was excavated by DCCR during the NEBT construction. A well owner DCW-DCCR explanation letter also signed by SIHJV, explains the situation in the Work Plan of the Approved package attached. The well abandonment detailed procedures are also in the work plan, and summarized are: Extensometers and Piezometers to be abandoned by over drilling to 5' depth, tremie grout borehole to 2' bgs, backfill with same and like material to (0) feet, as needed, and site restoration. Observation well to abandoned by tremie grouting well screen and riser, then over drill 2" PVC well riser to 60' bgs, tremie grout the over-drilled borehole, top off grout to 2' bgs and restore with same and like material to (0) feet, as needed. Site restoration within 24 hrs, for the three wells.
