PACKAGE 14. Two story hospital building addition at Banner Desert Medical Center, B, S-1 & I-2 occupancy classifications, IB construction type, masonry, concrete & steel construction, 33,225 total SF. This addition is separated from adjacent building areas by 3-hour firewall at northwest end of this addition & as required at west exterior walls due to proximity to assumed property line. Second story portion of this building is B & S-1 occupancy, is provided with one enclosed & one unenclosed stairways and one elevator. Elevator is required to be provided w/ 2-hour shaft & 90 minute opening protection due to I-2 occupancy. See case notes regarding lobby requirements at elevator shaft. This building area is separated from I-2 occupancy by 2-hour occupancy separation. Special inspection required for concrete, reinforcing steel, bolts in concrete, welding, masonry, epoxy anchors, spray-applied fireproofing, piers & caissons, and special grading, excavation & fill. Applicant has elected to defer the following fire protection systems:FIRE SPRINKLER AND FIRE ALARM SYSTEMS . Installation of deferred submittal systems is not permitted until plans have been approved and issued. No Certificate of Occupancy, Certificate of Compliance, or Building Final will be granted until such systems are approved and pass final inspection. Applicant is solely responsible for securing such permits in a timely fashion in accord with their construction schedule.
