COB24-00066 - : Please note that before a damage permit is issued an estimate showing the Company doing the work, the subject address, scope of work, materials, and labor from either the contractor or the insurance company will be required. A written scope of work is required to approximate the cost of the permit, verbal estimations shall not be used. This structure is to be restored like for like in compliance with 2017 NEC, 2018 IRC/IBC requirements. Any alterations or changes will require submitting plans before any restoration can begin. During the damage inspection the following was observed: Structural members may have been damaged by and will need an engineers observation letter. Electrical sustained damage to several home runs, panel may not need to be replaced unless it can?t accommodate the requirements needed to comply with 2018 IRC/IBC and/or 2017 NEC. All damaged wires must be replaced per 2017 NEC/2018 IRC. Mechanical equipment was damaged, and all mechanical components will need replacing. Minor damage to plumbing, some pipes will need to be replaced or repaired Note: Any structural members charred to a depth of 1/8” or greater are to be replaced. All plumbing, electrical and mechanical systems damaged by heat are to be replaced. A. Building is: Residential B.
