ECS will employ a track-mounted drill rig, which uses continuous flight, hollow-stem augers (HAS) to advance 5 boreholes. The boring will create at 6.5 inch anulus. All 5 borings will be completed to a depth of 50 feet below ground surface. 1 of the borings will be converted into groundwater monitoring well. The well will be constructed of factory cleaned and wrapped 2-inch PVC consisting of 10 feet of pre-packed 0.020-inch machine slot screen with solid riser pipe to surface. Filter sand will be backfilled from the base of the borehole extending to two feet above the screened pre-packed PVC. Two feet of bentonite will then be placed above the sand, and a grout mixture will then be placed using a tremie pipe from the top of the bentonite to the surface. The remaining borings will be tremie grouted from the bottom to top using a mixture of powered bentonite and potable water per DOEE recommendations.
