CODE MODIFICATION APPROVED WITH STIPULATIONS INCLUDE: A) A SCREWED IN PLACE WIRE MESH SCREEN OVER THE OPERABLE WINDOW AREA: B) SCREWED IN “STOPS” (NOT THUMB SCREWS) MAY BE USED TO LIMIT WINDOW OPENINGS NO MORE THAN 4” AND C) A LATCHING DEVICE NOT LESS THAN 54” ABOVE THE FLOOR. EMERGENCY ESCAPE WINDOWS MAY HAVE AN ALARM OR A LATCHING DEVICE NOT LESS THAT 54” ABOVE THE FLOOR.
