Temporary special event equipment will be setup in the streets for a charity race. Equipment includes: tents, generators, audio, platform, bike rack, inflatable arch, traffic cones, etc. APPROVED WITH CONDITIONS BELOW: Tents and stage, and platform shall comply with the 2017 DCMR Title 12 Construction codes and the 2015 International Building Code (IBC). 1) DCMR 106.1 and IBC 1012: Stage, or platform shall have ADA ramp slope 1:12, 36 inches min. width, with handrail. 2) IBC 1011.5: Stage steps features, shall include landing size (length and width) , stairs width, riser (4" to 7"), tread (11" minimum), handrail on both sides, handrail rail height (34" to 38"), and grip size. 3) IBC 1004.1: Minimum 15 square feet per occupant shall be provided under the tents. 4) IBC 1015.2: Minimum 42-inch high guard shall be installed on top of the stage where the wall is 30 inches, or more above the surface below. 5) IBC 1004.1 and 1029.9.1 : Minimum (2) EXITS for tents with 50 or more occupants. A minimum 36 inches wide aisles shall be provided where seats under the tents are less than 50. Minimum 44 inches wide aisles shall be provided where seats under the tents are more than 50.
