SCOPE OF WORKShingle Roof Installation: 1. Remove existing roofing material, underlayment, flashing, decking, and haul from the premises.2. Install new wood decking on the entire main roof. (If accepted, if not, the existing wood decking will be replaced as necessary. See rates below.)3. Install ice and water shield at the eaves.4. Install synthetic felt over the entire roof. 5. Install aluminum drip edge at the eaves and rakes. 6. Install step, counter, and apron flashing at the rising walls per industry standard. 7. Install chimney flashing (1 chimney). 8. Install Swift Start starter shingles at the eaves and rakes. 9. Install CertainTeed Landmark shingles (Cobblestone Grey).10. Install Shadow Ridge hip and ridge shingles at the ridge. 11. Install Pipe collars (3) and Slant back vent (2).12. Clean and dispose of all job-related debris and haul from the premises. Note: a. Any plywood that needs to be replaced will be replaced at an additional rate of $95.00 / sheet. If the wood decking is board sheathing, any boards that needs to be replaced will be replaced at an additional cost of $6.50 / linear foot. b. In Washington, DC, any roofing work over 100 sq ft requires a permit. You have the option to obtain the permit yourself, or Jacks Roofing Company can acquire the permit on your behalf. If we handle the permit, the cost will simply be added to the contract.
