Source description

We will perform a total of 6 borings across the property with a Geoprobe drill rig. Per the DDOE approved CAP, the borings will be advanced to a depth of 5 feet below field evidence of petroleum impact which is currently assumed to be to a depth of 25-35 feet. The diameter of the boreholes will be 2.25 inches. Select soil and groundwater samples will be collected. Permanent groundwater wells will not be installed. Following completion of each boring, the boring will be grouted. Subslab vapor samples will also be collected from directly beneath the concrete slab of the existing building. The soil surface will not be penetrated as part of the subslab vapor sampling. See the attached work plan for specific details regarding the soil/groundwater/subslab vapor sampling and grouting.
