We are installing two roof caps to vent some bath fans outside instead of inside. We understand this is necessary to prevent any moisture from damaging the roof sheathing. We are submitting a permit request because the HOA has told us that any modification to the common element of the building (i.e., the roof) needs a permit, install (2) new metal rigid or flex duct to new roof vent, install new insulation in attic.
