Source description
This scope covers the installation of standalone, interconnected fire alarm bells in a 3-story mixed-use building. The system is intended to provide audible notification only, without a centralized fire alarm control panel. First Floor (Commercial Kitchen): Install one (1) fire alarm bell activated by the commercial kitchen hood suppression system. The bell will sound locally upon suppression system discharge. Second and Third Floors (Residential): Install one (1) fire alarm bell on each floor, located in the main hallway serving the apartment units. These bells will be interconnected with the first-floor bell to sound simultaneously in the event of activation. System Description: Bells will be wired together to activate concurrently. Activation will be triggered by the kitchen hood system or manual means as required by code. The system is notification-only and does not include smoke detection or automatic fire alarm signaling. All work will comply with applicable codes and standards, including NFPA 70 (NEC) and any applicable local fire code requirements.
